Locate a driveway

Using our extensive network of hosts, we find a driveway within walking distance of your driver's home.

Installation

We install the charging hardware where needed, and provide your driver with exclusive access to the unit for the length of the contract.

How much will this cost us?

The total cost of charging with FleetCharge is lower than using public networks once the opportunity cost of lost working time is factored in. Pricing is decided on an individual basis to ensure the best value to you.

What different models of FleetCharge do you offer?

We have three different FleetCharge models.

1:1 - We will locate a parking space within a 10 minute walk of your driver’s home and install a charger for them to use exclusively.

1:Many - We will locate a parking space within a 10 minute walk of multiple driver’s homes and install a charger which can be booked exclusively by your selection of drivers.

Private Network - We will locate parking spaces in strategic locations and install chargers which can be booked exclusively by your drivers.

Do I have to give the driver 24/7 access to the charger and parking space?

Yes, you will need to keep the space free for the driver whenever they need to use it. Although you will be aware of the driver’s likely intended use schedule ahead of time.

What exactly is covered in the monthly earnings?

You are paid a guaranteed monthly figure (totalling around £1,000 per year) AND any energy costs associated with the fleet driver charging.

How long does the contract last?

Generally around 3 years.

How can I make sure that the driver will park in the right space?

The driver will be informed where the charging and parking space is located when matched to your area. If the driver parks in the wrong spot, you will have the driver’s details to contact them directly.

Who will be parking on my drive?

You will have the full contact information of the designated driver to your driveway - they will be a fleet driver (for example: private taxis, couriers, utility companies, etc.) who have shifted to driving electric vehicles. There will be only one driver designated to your driveway, so you will always know who to expect and how to contact them.

What sort of Electric Vehicle charger do I need to have?

Whether you have a Type 1, Type 2, or even a standard outdoor mains plug - you can list your charger with us. We’ll get this information from you when you sign up, and then only send you bookings from people with the right type of vehicle.

Will I have to ask customers for money?

Nope. We take care of all of that. The customer simply pays for both parking and charging through JustPark, and we then pass on those earnings to you.

Can I choose when my charger is available?

Yes you can. You can set your charger to be available whenever you want it to be, and you’ll only receive bookings for those times. What’s more, all of our bookings are made in advance, so you’ll always know when your charger is going to be used.

How much will I earn?

We’ve had some space owners earn as much as £3000 per year. What you’ll earn depends on where your space is, and how much demand there is in your area. But as we move to a more electrified world, we can only see that demand increasing. It’s an exciting time to come on board.

Can I set my own price?

Yes! We appreciate that our electrified space owners have different energy costs and are based in areas with high or lower demand. During the set up, you can choose to use the automated pricing, or click to set your own.

Do I have to pay tax on my earnings?

Earnings from renting out your driveway are included in the property trading income allowance introduced by the government in April 2017. This means you can make up to £1,000 per year, completely tax-free.
