Doubletree Hyde Park

The Doubletree by Hilton, Hyde Park can be found on the edge of Hyde Park and Bayswater in London. The modern hotel overlooks Kensington Gardens, part of nearby Kensington Palace and with its central location, it attracts a range of guests from business to tourists. The hotel's management team recognised that their car park had a variable rate of utilisation depending on the time of week and what events were scheduled in the calendar. Given the central location, the team saw there was an opportunity to fill these spaces with non guest parking and increase revenue into the hotel.

Solution

In 2016, working closely with the JustPark client success team, the hotel placed 12 spaces onto the JustPark booking platform. Opening up the opportunity to pre-book spaces to the 5m+ JustPark drivers. The hotel quickly saw an uptake on bookings which included local residents who were looking for extra, affordable parking as well as day visitors to the area. Such was the success of increased utlisation rates, in 2019 the management team decided to add an additional 6 spaces to the platform making 18 spaces in total.
