How does parking on a private driveway work?
Parking on a private driveway is an alternative to traditional parking on-street or in car parks. Oftentimes, it saves drivers money, allows them to get closer to their destination and helps keep their car safe away from high-traffic areas. Driveways are listed on JustPark by local homeowners, which then go through a verification process to make sure the space is suitable for booking.
Once the verified listing is live, it can be pre-booked through our app or website for a set period of time, whether it’s a few hours, a whole day or even months at a time. Simply book through the app, receive directions, and park in the reserved space.
Whose driveway am I parking in?
All of the private driveways listed on JustPark have been listed by local residents who have spare space and are looking to make a side income. For security purposes we don’t show their private details, but you can however view the space’s reviews from other drivers, see the address instructions once the booking has been made, and message the Space Owner privately if you have any questions.

While instances of a vehicle being damaged while parked on private property are extremely rare, we do offer Parking Peace of Mind insurance which can be added on to each individual session that covers up to £1,000 of an insured driver's insurance excess if their vehicle is damaged while parked in a JustPark space.

No, private driveways don’t require any tickets or paid slips to be displayed on the vehicle. The pre-booking process is entirely paperless and the monitoring is done through the vehicle registration number that’s tied to your individual account. Just ensure you’ve entered your reg details correctly and there will be no issues.
What happens if I arrive early or if I’m running late on a pre-booking?
It’s essential to stick to the booking time to respect the space owner’s availability, or if there is still another booking in progress ahead of your start time. I was a bit unsure at first, paying to park on somebody's drive, but the reviews were great so I tried it and what a great idea and service. We paid to park at someone's property around the corner from a tube station. Meant to we could avoid driving in to London and the car was safe. We had no worry when we left it and collected it the following day absolutely fine. We'd absolutely do it again. - Paige Paterson, October 2024
