Where to find parking for Billy Joel at Murrayfield in Edinburgh

Driving in Edinburgh can be challenging on the best of days due to road restrictions and congestion; make sure you plan accordingly for a stress-free visit.

Billy Joel has announced two UK dates as part of his 2025 Tour. Having spent the last 10 years in a record-breaking residency at Madison Square Gardens, performing 150 times, European appearances by the Piano Man have been few and far between of late. Demand for the two UK dates is therefore expected to be high.

Joel’s UK shows are both in June 2025. On 7th June, he’ll be playing at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh. On 21st June, he’ll be playing in Liverpool at Anfield Stadium. He won’t however be playing in ‘Vienna’, nor any other European city; the two UK concerts are his only European commitments announced to date. So, whether you’re from Liverpool or Lithuania, Edinburgh or Estonia, this might be the best chance to see Joel…for the longest time.

As experts in getting music fans to concerts, this article covers everything you need to know about getting to the show...it’s a matter of trust.

How to get tickets to Billy Joel in Edinburgh

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets for Billy Joel’s UK tour dates go on sale Friday, 4th October 2024 on Ticketmaster and Live Nation. Pre-sale on both of these sites is one day earlier on 3rd October if you’ve managed to get a code or have special access.

How much do Billy Joel tickets cost?

Prices haven’t been officially released yet, but we expect based on his North American tour dates that general admission tickets will range anywhere from £75 to £300 per ticket.

We recommend getting in the digital queue long before the technical on-sale time — which is listed at 10 AM — to avoid disappointment, since many resellers will grab early tickets and relist them at a higher price.

Where else is he playing?

There is only one other UK tour date as a part of Billy Joel’s 2025 tour, and that is in Liverpool at Anfield Stadium on 21st June 2025.

Book a parking space ahead of time near the stadium

For most major sporting or music events, this will be the simplest, cheapest and most convenient option for car parking. Not only will it save you time and money on the day-of, but it will also give you guaranteed access to a parking space near Murrayfield and can offer flexibility that you won’t be able to find by using traditional car parks.

Using the JustPark app or website, you can search, find and reserve a space which should tick most of your boxes when looking for parking:

  • You can search for spaces within walking distance of the stadium and get more affordable rates than local car parks or unsecured pop-up parking
  • You should be able to escape the crowds more easily leaving your car in a slightly less congested area
  • You can extend your parking session easily through the JustPark app if you’re facing delays getting out of the stadium crowds
  • You can have peace of mind knowing that you’ve got a guaranteed parking space upon arrival

Given the fact that there’s only two European tour dates total in 2025, we recommend booking a parking space ASAP so you don’t miss out on available options.

Check if Edinburgh Council has put parking restrictions into place

Do you live near Murrayfield? Rent out your driveway for extra income

Even if you’re not attending the tour yourself, you can still benefit from the surge of crowds coming into the city to see Oasis. It’s been proven that local residents who live nearby busy sports or music venues see their annual income increase by 57% by renting out their driveways to event goers, be it sports fans or music enthusiasts.

If you’re a homeowner near Edinburgh's city centre and have a driveway with extra space, simply rent out your driveway to earn a side income and benefit those in need of car parking; it’s as easy as that. You can set your availability and pricing so you’re in full control of your space.
