BST Hyde Park, short for British Summer Time Hyde Park, is an annual summer music festival held in London’s historic Hyde Park. Since launching in 2013, the festival has brought some of the world’s biggest music acts to the city including Taylor Swift, Celine Dione, Adele, Robbie Williams, the Rolling Stones and many more.

Spanning multiple dates across June and July 2025, the headliners have already begun to be announced, with the most recent addition of Olivia Rodrigo being supported by Girl in Red and the Last Dinner Party.

If you plan to drive into London for any of these concerts, or even drive part-way to help cut down on costs and time on congested roads, then we have some recommendations that will help to make your journey as easy as can be.

If you plan on driving into London for BST Hyde Park 2025

Parking at Hyde Park can be quite a challenge due to the high number of visitors and the surrounding area being a hub for tourism, shopping and business. To ensure a stress-free experience and to land potential discounts, consider pre-booking your parking space on JustPark well in advance.

You can choose from hundreds of available private driveways in the area that are listed by homeowners, or you can book a space at car parks like Q-Park near the event entrance. There are great options nearby that include parking at a Hilton hotel, booking in an official CitiPark car park or booking a privately owned parking space near the entrance of Hyde Park near Royal Albert Hall.

During your search, you also have the option to:

  • Search for spaces within walking distance of the park and get more affordable rates than showing up last-minute
  • Escape the crowds more easily leaving your car in a slightly less congested area
  • Extend your parking session easily through the JustPark app if you’re facing delays getting out of the crowds
  • Have peace of mind knowing that you’ve got a guaranteed parking space upon arrival

Getting to Hyde Park by public transport

Being so centrally located, Hyde Park is very accessible by public transport and it is one of the most popular ways to get there.

Even if you’re driving, it can be advisable to park in a quieter borough and make your journey by bus or tube for the remainder of the journey to cut down on costs.

By bus:

  • Bus routes: 9, 14, 19, 38, 74, 390 (all stop near Hyde Park)
  • Closest stops:
    • Hyde Park Corner
    • Marble Arch
    • Knightsbridge
    • Lancaster Gate

By tube:

  • Marble Arch (Central Line) – Ideal for the northeast side of Hyde Park.
  • Hyde Park Corner (Piccadilly Line) – Closest to the southeast corner of the park.
  • Knightsbridge (Piccadilly Line) – Good for access to the south side.
  • Lancaster Gate (Central Line) – Ideal for the northern edge.
  • Green Park (Jubilee, Victoria, and Piccadilly Lines) – Provides access to the park’s southeast entrance.

Hyde Park is also walkable from Paddington Station and Victoria Station via National Rail or multiple underground lines.

Park outside of London and get the train for the rest of your journey

If you're visiting London and prefer to avoid city-centre traffic near Hyde Park, consider parking further out and taking the train or tube for the last part of your journey. Here are some convenient park-and-ride options:

  • From the North (M1): Park at Stanmore Station on the Jubilee Line. Trains run every few minutes, and you’ll be in central London in about 30 minutes. Parking starts at around £6 per day on weekends.
  • From the West (M40): Try Hillingdon Station on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly Lines. Trains to central London take about 45 minutes, and parking is around £1.50 on weekends and £6 on weekdays.
  • From the South (A3/M3): Morden Station on the Northern Line offers easy access to central London in about 30 minutes. Parking costs around £5 per day on weekdays and is often free on weekends.
  • From the East (M11): Consider Newbury Park Station on the Central Line. Trains to central London take about 35 minutes, and daily parking is typically £6.

These options allow you to park affordably outside central London and take a quick, hassle-free train or tube ride straight to Hyde Park and nearby attractions. Plus, if you plan to stay overnight at a hotel in central London, this might be a better option as well to avoid overpaying for multi-day sessions in a busy area.

Does Hyde Park offer official parking?

While Hyde Park does have two public car parks nearby, both have a maximum stay of four hours (even for Blue Badge holders) which may not be enough time to see all of the acts on your chosen BST 2025 day.
As mentioned above, there are disabled parking spaces in both of the car parks, as well as dedicated bays on West Carriage Drive and South Carriage Drive. Parking is free for Blue Badge holders but is subject to the four-hour time limit.

Is there free parking near Hyde Park?

Free parking is extremely rare in this area, and considering the road closures that are typically put into place on event days, it is not recommended that you risk taking a chance on trying to find one of these spaces.

In some areas, free street parking is available on Sundays or outside restricted hours, typically after 6:30 PM. Areas like Bayswater and Paddington may have limited spaces available, but the timing most likely won’t align with any of the concert start times.

Live in Westminster? You can rent out your driveway for extra income

While you might not be attending a concert, you can still benefit from the influx of crowds coming into the area for events. If you’re a homeowner in the Westminster area near Hyde Park and have a driveway with extra space, simply rent out your driveway to earn a side income and benefit those in need of car parking; it’s as easy as that. You can set your availability and pricing so you’re in full control of your space.
