Be cautious when parking. Signage can be unclear and altogether missing. And if it is missing, it will be replaced AFTER you've parked, and you WILL be charged. I recently received a parking charge notice in an area where there was no sign but, found out later, that the 'No Parking' sign had been missing. It was replaced between the time I had parked and before I returned to my car, leading to a parking ticket for £70!
While I'm currently appealing the charge, the experience has highlighted the need for clearer signage and better communication regarding parking regulations on campus (aka: if a sign is indeed missing, perhaps don't put it up when a car is parked there, thus entrapping the driver into a charge....). If you park at Bath Spa, double-check for signs (I guess? although I'm not sure how to avoid the trouble with signs being placed while you are parked in a spot) and be aware of the potential for unclear parking restrictions.
