Parking on St. Johns Road, BA2

For your information this space was not really acceptable. Looked like a deserted insecure piece of ground. With no barriers for any code and we were really uneasy about parking but did so for short while . I can send over photos if you should have need. Please let me know. Really should not be offered again in this state

Unfortunately disappointed with this one. Firstly, you're provided a code to open the gate. Was expecting some sort of padlock but there is no security at all. Didn't notice any cameras covering the parking spot either. The description does say it's narrow and it is!! I drive a Mokka and it was a very tight fit through the gate. Don't book this place unless you drive a tiny car or confident driver of a small/medium vehicle. If you have anything bigger than a Mokka don't even think about it! The description didn't mention all the building work going on, big hole in the ground where you are supposed to park, had to park round the corner to left next to all the boats (another very tight squeeze for a 3 point turn)! There are also building materials down right hand side of lane which made turning at the bottom tight. In fact everything about this space was tight apart from the cost!! On plus side great location :)

Photo of driveway is misleading. It is now a worksite with rebar, collapsed ground and site rubbish everywhere. Lucky to get vehicle down and around building.

The booking experience was very good. The parking space very small and suitable only for a very small car. It was almost too small for my Audi Q2.

This car parking space is very dangerous. An enormous excavated hole on the curve when turning into the wider area to park. Barriers not adequately erect. Metal bars haphazardly lying in the way. These obstacles could potentially cause some serious damage or even worse injury. this is a great pity as the space could be very nice. It is tranquil and safe.

A very convenient parking space, being only a few minutes walk to The Abbey and Roman Baths for example. Also very useful to be able to book for more than one day at the same time. However, the opening is narrow, allowing only a few inches leeway either side of a Nissan Qashqai.

I love that the fee for this parking goes to the Sea Cadets, and for that reason I would book again. But be very cautious, this is a VERY tight turning and my aunt scrapped all the front of the car trying to get in driving a Madza CX5. Highly recommend only reversing in and really take your time. (Be prepared to have to hold up the traffic on the road) Room for multiple cars parked in front of each other.

Be careful of the raised drain cover by the left side of the entrance gate. Had difficulty getting over it and as I did it tipped the car to the right in (what is already) a narrow entranceway so only just avoided tipping the side of the car into the gatepost. Could do with being levelled out so this can't happen. Other than that excellent location, perfectly safe location and money raised goes to a good cause I believe so they are all win wins.
