I was overcharged, I initially paid for up to 2 hours (1.50), then I thought I'd extend for another hour, the app seemed to say that it would cost 3.50 total (with no options), so I paid it even though according to the signage it should be 2.20...however on checking my bill I've found I was charged an additional 3.50, so total £5.00.
