Parking on Whiteladies Road, BS8

Really hard to find and although directions said a tight space to drive through I wasn't expecting quite so tight. Also only way to park in the space was to have the doors up against a wall and climb across the car to get out.

Tidy parking space, great location.

Quite a narrow entrance, not sure how easy it would be to manoeuvre if all the other spaces were full. But worked perfectly for us. Good location.

Excellent parking space for a BMW 5 estate car. Easy to locate from the instructions, the access on the left of the building I found ok, yes it's snug but just take it slowly. There is enough space to manoeuvre and park and the location was perfect. The area is safe and I felt happy leaving the car parked. I would definitely book again.

Booking was easy, however the space was advertised as minibus-friendly (space 10). The access alley was just wide enough to enter (with a straight approach), but the presence of another wide vehicle in space 9 (also advertised as minibus-friendly), opposite the alley, made it impossible to approach the alley straight on when exiting in a long-wheelbase minibus. Had to fold in my wing mirror to manoeuvre round a piece of ironwork on LHS of exit. Might have been OK in a short-wheelbase vehicle.

This space gave me everything we needed. It delivered what we paid for and is within a few minutes walk of Park Street and the City Centre. A word of caution for anyone arriving from any direction than than down Whiteladies Road: We fell foul of the Clean Air Zone because of the way it is engineered. If you take a cursory look at Google Maps it appears that several routes just about miss the CAZ but this isn’t the case. My advice, if you wish to avoid spaffing up £14 in cold blood is to take a wide route around Bristol and come in from the north, down Whiteladies Road. I’ve indicated that the parking didn’t feel safe. The only reason for this is that it’s in a fairly secluded area at the rear of a commercial office premises and has a few unlit areas. As a country dweller I felt a little apprehensive when returning to the car at 2300 although, in fairness, I needn’t have..
