Parking on East Fountainbridge, EH3

The parking space was easy to find and very convenient for us. We were transporting our student son's belongings. However, we have a large SUV which would have been a major problem if other cars were parked in that narrow alley. We were so worried about running over the locking bollard that we forgot to put it back up after we left (sorry). Anyway, an excellent space in the centre of town if you have a small car.

It was easy to use, but when we got to the space there was no padlock and no way to tell anyone there was no padlock Thankfully it was open so we were OK

This was a great find and service to use, getting parked so close to the castle during the tattoo event made life so much easier

The space was in a great location within a easy walk to places we were visiting and there were clear instructions as to how to access the space, pictures, etc. The lower rating is due to the fact that the owner transposed the padlocked access code in the listing. We arrived at approximately 130pm and tried repeatedly calling and texting the owner; however, we received no response until about 930pm via text message. Fortunately, we tried variations of the access code and were able to get in, but the lack of response is what was very frustrating. The owner did apologize and corrected the listing, but for us it was rather frustrating. Perhaps the app itself should have a direct messaging system as well.

The post that was supposed to be at the space, wasn’t there and the marking in the ground wasn’t clear, so I wasn’t sure what space ti park in. Tried calling owner but no answer. Calmed JP team who did manage to confirm the discrepancy and what space to use. I asked that the description be updated, hopefully it has been. Asked for a discount for the inconvenience, an amount was added to my next booking, I don’t really use the service so not sure how much it is. Aside from that, the space was close to where we were going so overall worked out well. Note the small road back to the space is very dark later on. I would still use the service again but wanted to mention these things.

Easy directions & instructions to follow. Space a bit tight for my estate car but we managed. Great location near the Usher Hall - perfect!

The spot, at least the adres, was easy enough to find. But the parking Ballard (I think that’s the pole that’s blocking the parking spot) was removed permanently or we parked in the wrong spot. The key for a padlock (parking spot next to the one behind the green door) was supposed to be in a box on the wall next to the green door (we figured) but the code we got didn’t open the box. The marking on the street (30.1) just wasn’t readable anymore so was no help at all. We just left the car, in fear of getting a ticket or towed. It was not my 18 pounds worth at all.

Great space and ideally located. Would return to this space if in this area again. Was expecting to use lock but was an open space so details may need to be updated for upcoming bookings.
