Parking on Lawford Road, N1

To be honest the space was ridiculously small for my car. They recommended you reverse in but failed to say you’d then need to exit via the passenger side. My mobility is limited so it was stressful and difficult to do this. Also my suitcase was in my boot which I wouldn’t have been able to get to to open. After a LOT of very careful reversing and rearrangement of my luggage, I still was about a good 12” still protruding the space. And I don’t have a big car! Anything larger or wider than an old Honda Jazz, forget it. I was worried the whole time I may have had some ticket or something for partially parking on the pavement. Small car? Ok. But don’t put your stuff in the boot and any passengers need to get out first. And drive in, so you can get out!

Easy and quick

This space is easy to find but is very small. My Citroen C4 Picasso only just fit in the space and I had to climb out of the driver's side.

The space is very small. Even for a Golf. Also the pavement is very high with a pothole that would need to be fixed. It's impossible not to scratch the bottom of the car.

Perfect for a smart car!

I had 1 inch either side of my Peugeot Rifter. To get anything but a small car fully into the space (and clear of the pavement), you may need to exit through the passenger door. Despite this, the parking opportunity helped me a lot today and if needed I'd do it again.

Excellent - a 5-star experience

Sadly this parking space was not up to scratch for me. The length of the drive is very short and did not fit my car which is only a 5 door hatchback. Half of the car sat on the public pavement and the space could only fit a tiny 3 door vehicle. Getting on to the pavement and driveway was worse due to a dip in the road before the pavement. The front bumper hit this section and only high rev’s could iget me out to park.
