St Michael’s Mount & Long Stay Marazion Overflow Car Park

Great motorhome parking in the overflow parking across the road from the main car park. Only negative it is not clearly signposted until too late

Struggled to find spaces, the app and the machines both declined my card numerous times. Lots of stress and anxiety then panicked I didn't put enough time on. Found the whole experience a stress.

DO NOT PARK HERE! Awful experience, visited St Michael Mount parked at the overflow car park. There were huge queues for the machines and lots of errors. Spoke to carpark attendant who advised us to carry on as we could pay on the way out via cash, card or the app but to remember the time you came in. I had no reception & low battery. There are also signs which say "you can pay at any point of your stay using cash, card or the app". Upon my return went to pay via the machine and the app both do not allow you to pay for your pay retrospectively. I was so confused! Decided to just pay for 6hrs which would cover the stay, called Just Park who advised you have to rebook a space, now I may receive a penalty fine. I queried the signs and the attendant advice, to the response of we are not responsible for the boards. An absolute disgrace, beware the signs are very misleading and set out to make you pay a fine.

Cheaper to pay per hour rather than for longer! Machines a long way from spaces.

It was a pleasure to book the space. We knew that the main lot would be busy, so we even didn't try to park the vehicle there. We turned left and we were amongst the first to leave the car. And the walk from the overflow is only a couple of minutes from the main attraction. Perfect for us.

Used this car park with our motorhome. On the day we went there was lots of space and the surface was good, but there was some evidence of the trackways being quite muddy recently. If approaching from the Penzance direction, it is a really tight hairpin left turn to get onto the access road. It might be easiest to go past, turn around and approach from the other direction in a bigger vehicle. Confident to leave the van whilst we visited the castle.

ANPR - gets you for been a little late at the end of the day after waiting for an hour to get a boat back. Reception is poor so impossible to extend from the Mt.
