What’s the point in having the option to pay on the app if you’re in a location with no 3G? On top of that, neither the contactless or card machine reader was working on the pay and display machine with any of my cards and I didn’t have any cash. I had to set up the phone option whilst dragging my suitcase behind me. All the while it’s absolutely throwing it down with rain. Absolute joke of a station.

The machine wasn't accepting card payments, I have no cash on my and the mobile signal was terrible but I eventually managed to pay for my parking on the app.

I was unable to use the machine to pay. I found the instructions very confusing as it mentioned pressing ' the button below' and I couldn't see one! Twice tried to pay by contactless card, the light flashed but nothing happened afterwards so didn't know if payment had been taken. There was no ticket but wasn't sure if the machine was giving tickets as couldn't see any on other cars.. Looked on bank statement at home but nothing there so paid by phone. Tried to install app but it said my email was already registered. Tried "forgot password " twice but got an error message both times. I REALLY hate these machines!!
Will take £2 in future to pay. Hadn't intended staying but was dropping off daughter and grandchildren and it was raining and the train was late so stayed to make sure it came!

The pay machine would not accept either credit card contactless payment or mobile phone contactless payment.
Payment had to be be made via telephone call.

Ticket machine was either faulty or if not instructions not clear I had to pay using my phone after trying numerous times. Not ideal when in a hurry to catch a train

Could not pay with cash or contactless so tried the app that didn't work either. Had to complete transaction by phone in the end. Very stressful when trying to catch a train on time and having a hassel trying to pay for parking.

definitely download the app first (not always possible for a first visit) once you've done that you can input parking details on train (unlike first visit when I nearly missed my train)
